Ketan Patel

Ketan Patel is an innovative VLSI professional with over 25 years of experience in hardware design. Ketan served as a Senior Director at Microsoft from 2018 to 2023, where they were a founding member of the Raleigh Custom CPU and SoC development team, overseeing team growth and custom CPU core development. Prior to that, Ketan worked at Qualcomm as a Senior Director of Engineering, leading the custom processor development team since its inception in 2003. Currently, Ketan holds the position of Director of Hardware Design at Arm and is a Strategic Advisory Board Member at North Carolina State University's Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, contributing to research and education strategies in the field. Ketan earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
