Sam Beland currently serves as the President of the Michigan Chapter of ARMA International and as Chair of the Professional Development Committee for the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators. With experience as a Government Records and Information Analyst for the State of Michigan, responsibilities include developing record retention and disposal schedules and providing consulting services. Sam has also held roles on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy and the Ingham County Animal Shelter Fund. A past president of Mid-Michigan ARMA, Sam has extensive background in records and information management, including experience as a Library Technician at Zoetis and an intern at WMU Archives & Regional History Collections. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public/Applied History from Western Michigan University and a Master of Science in Administration with a focus on Philanthropy & Fundraising from Central Michigan University.
