Adrian Loera

Adrian Loera has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Their most recent role is as an Associate Scientist at Armata Pharmaceuticals, where they are part of the process development team, focusing on optimizing phage formulation and fermentation of prospect Armata drug products. Prior to that, Adrian worked as a Laboratory Technician at Gilead Sciences, where they gained experience in process development, analytical chemistry, and forensic investigation of Gilead products. Adrian also had the opportunity to work with commercial and clinical filling lines and procure heavy equipment and pharmaceutical manufacturing instrumentation. Before Gilead Sciences, Adrian worked at Fulgent Genetics as a Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Assistant, specializing in RNA extraction methods for Covid-19 samples. Adrian gained extensive experience in handling viral samples and preparing them for PCR diagnostics. Adrian also worked as a Student Assistant at UCM Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, where they analyzed data sets for a study conducted in San Jose and Mexico. Additionally, Adrian worked as a Student Researcher at the University of California, Merced, where they conducted research on sea urchin asexual reproduction and the developmental stability of zebrafish embryos.

Adrian Loera has a comprehensive education history in the field of science. From 2016 to 2020, Adrian attended the University of California, Merced, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Biological Sciences, focusing on Molecular and Cell Biology. Adrian then pursued further education at California State University, Los Angeles, from 2020 to 2021, earning a Baccalaureate of Biotechnology. Continuing their studies at the same institution, Adrian is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Microbiology/Biotechnology, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
