Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED)
Lennart Landman is a seasoned professional in data management and research, currently serving as the Director of Data at the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) since December 2017, where oversight includes global data collection, methodology, quality assurance, and special projects. Prior roles at ACLED encompassed Head of Methodology and Senior Methodology Manager. Lennart's academic career includes a significant tenure at the University of Groningen from January 2013 to August 2018 as a lecturer and PhD candidate, focusing on EU security and defence, policy processes, and think tank influence. Additional experience includes a Research Fellow position at the Clingendael Institute, contributing to policy research on EU security issues, and serving as a Private First Class in the Royal Netherlands Army - National Reserve Corps.
