Amanda Jensema is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist with extensive experience in working with veterans, currently employed at the Armed Forces Retirement Home-Washington since August 2007. In this role, Amanda develops programs for general recreation and therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of the nation's veterans. Previously, Amanda served as a Recreation Therapist at Woodbine Rehabilitation & Healthcare from April 2005 to August 2007. Amanda holds a degree in Recreation & Sports Management with a focus on Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University, obtained between 2001 and 2005, and attended Northern Virginia Community College from 2000 to 2001.
