Barbara Ferry has a diverse and extensive background in neuroscience, research, and military service. Currently, Barbara holds several positions including a member of the Cercle Fontenoy at the Armée de Terre, a colonel in the ADER network of the Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace, and a member of the scientific council for the ATHOS project at the Ministère des Armées. With a long-standing career at CNRS starting January 2000, Barbara serves as a senior research officer focusing on brain dysfunctions related to cognitive deficits such as those seen in Alzheimer's patients. Additional contributions include involvement with Kynopol Network of Police Dog Professionals, UQTR as a Senior Research Associate, and collaboration with the Institut de Recherche Criminelle de la Gendarmerie Nationale. Academic qualifications include a doctorate in fundamental neuroscience from the University of Strasbourg, complemented by multiple master's degrees in neuroscience, animal physiology, and biochemistry.
