Market Director - Geothermal at Armstrong International – Intelligent Solutions in Steam, Air and Hot Water

Marcel van Dijck has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Marcel started their career as the Director of the Asia Pacific Telecommunications Business Unit at Tyco Electronics, where they achieved sales revenues exceeding $500 million annually. Marcel later became the Country/General Manager of Tyco Electronics in New Zealand, leading the company through significant organic and acquisitive growth. Marcel then served as the Country/General Manager of Legrand in New Zealand and as the Chief Executive Officer of Emech Control NZ Limited. Marcel also worked as the Global Director of Sales and Marketing at Armstrong International, where they facilitated the trade sale of Emech Control and handled the integration of the acquired company. Marcel has experience as the Vice President of Integrated Control Technology (USA) LLC and as the Chief Operating Officer of Imarda (now Coretex), where they were responsible for major accounts, contracts negotiation, and operational governance. Marcel has also served as an Independent Director for Ons Dorp and Day One Digital Media (Monstavision). Marcel's most recent roles include Regional Director for Armstrong International in Southeast Asia and Oceania, Market Director for Geothermal at Armstrong International, and Managing Director of DMV&D Consulting Limited.

Marcel van Dijck completed their education in a systematic and progressive manner. Marcel began their educational journey in 1982 at The University of Auckland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics. Marcel successfully completed this program in 1985.

Building upon their foundation in science and mathematics, Marcel continued their academic pursuits at The University of Auckland. From 1986 to 1988, they pursued a Master of Science degree in GeoPhysics, further specializing in the field.

After obtaining their Master's degree, Marcel desired to enhance their knowledge and skills in the business domain. In 1993, they enrolled at The University of Auckland once again, this time to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Business (DipBus) with a focus on Business Postgrad Qualifications. Marcel successfully completed this program in 1994.

Through their education history, Marcel van Dijck demonstrated a well-rounded academic background, combining scientific expertise with business acumen to broaden their professional capabilities.
