Brian Rudkin

Brian Rudkin is an experienced tax professional with a focus on employment tax, currently serving as Tax Partner and Head of Employment Tax at Armstrong Watson since April 2023. Previously, Brian held the position of Director of Employer Services at Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers from July 2018 to April 2023, where leadership of the Employer Services team was essential. Brian's extensive background also includes a role as Reward & Employment Senior Manager at PwC from August 2013 to June 2018, overseeing the company's practice in the North East and Yorkshire as well as participating in national technical committees. Prior to that, Brian was the owner of Optimum PAYE, providing consultancy services from January 2009 to August 2013, and held senior positions at Deloitte LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Berg Kaprow Lewis LLP, and HM Revenue & Customs, spanning a career that began in 1989.
