William Henshaw

Director Of Manufacturing And Business Support at Armstrong World Industries

William Henshaw has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1988, they served in the United States Army Reserve as an Operating Room Technician, including deployment during Operation Desert Storm. Following their military service, Henshaw worked as an Operations Engineer at GE Lighting from 1994 to 1998. William then transitioned to the role of Plant Manager at Overhead Door for a brief period in 1998. Henshaw continued to advance their career, becoming the General Manager at Therma Tru from 1999 to 2005. Subsequently, they joined TruStile Doors as the VP of Operations and Engineering from 2005 to 2011, where they led a successful lean transformation and implemented quality initiatives. Henshaw then joined Armstrong World Industries, where they held multiple positions, including Lean Champion and Director of Manufacturing and Business Support. Here, they spearheaded initiatives that resulted in significant cost savings, improved customer experiences, and increased employee engagement. Most recently, Henshaw is set to join Westlake Royal Building Products as the Director of Engineering in 2023. Overall, their extensive work experience showcases their expertise in operations, engineering, lean manufacturing, and leadership.

William Henshaw holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech, which they completed from 1990 to 1994. In 2003, they participated in the University of Kentucky and Toyota Lean Manufacturing Program. Additionally, they earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from General Electric in 1997-1998 and completed the Manufacturing Management Program (MMP) at General Electric from 1994 to 1996. Currently, Henshaw is pursuing studies in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence with Programming at Stanford University, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2022.
