Sonja Nesbit

Sonja Nesbit is a seasoned professional in health policy and government relations, currently serving as a Senior Health Policy Advisory at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP since October 2022. Prior to this role, Sonja was the Managing Director at FTI Consulting Strategic Communications from October 2019 to October 2022 and held the position of Senior Government Relations Director at Arent Fox from May 2016 to October 2019. Sonja's extensive experience includes serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation at the US Department of Health and Human Services from March 2013 to May 2016 and as Deputy Staff Director of the Human Resources Subcommittee on the U.S. House of Representatives Ways & Means Committee from March 2002 to March 2013. Sonja holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy from the University of Connecticut and dual Bachelor degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
