Karla Sainz has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Karla started their career as a Field Manager at Grassroots Campaigns in 2007. Karla then moved on to work as an Executive Assistant at the Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations Inc. from 2008-2010. In 2011, they joined the Pennsylvania Immigration & Citizenship Coalition as a Graduate Intern. Later in the same year, they started working at Arnold Ventures as a Public Accountability Manager. Over the years, they held various positions at Arnold Ventures including Board Liaison, Chief of Staff to Laura and John Arnold, and Director of Organizational Initiatives. Karla'slatest role at Arnold Ventures is Director, People and Culture which they have held since January 2022.

Karla Sainz's education history begins with their earning a High School Diploma from Colegio Santiago de Leon de Caracas, which they completed between the years 1992 and 2003. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts at Universidad Metropolitana (VE) from 2003 to 2007.

In 2009, Karla participated in the Latino Partnership's Leadership Program, where they obtained a Certificate. Continuing their education, they enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 and completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Social Policy in 2011.
