Jason Salter has extensive work experience in the broadcast industry. Jason started their career at Softel Group as a Senior Test Engineer, where they performed testing and fault-finding on digital and analogue equipment. Jason also had responsibilities in scheduling repairs, providing technical support, and ensuring EMC conformity of products.
After that, Jason joined ntl broadcast as a Graduate Engineer, gaining experience in the field before moving on to Arqiva. At Arqiva, they held multiple roles, including Project Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Principal Engineer. In these roles, they were involved in the design and delivery of baseband broadcast systems and played a significant role in various projects such as the implementation of remote statistical multiplexing over IP. Jason also led the re-engineering of Channel 4 DSAT compression systems.
Following their time at Arqiva, Jason joined ATEME as a Support and Deployment Engineer, where they specialized in providing support and deploying solutions. Currently, they are working at Nevion (a Sony Group Company) as a Service Account Manager.
Jason Salter earned a BEng(Hons) degree in Electronic Engineering from Solent University, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP Enterprise), Docker Quick Start, Kubernetes Quick Start, Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA), and Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing and Switching).
