Sarah Mahoney has over a decade of experience in the biotechnology sector. Sarah began their career in 2001 as an Intern at Exelixis, Inc. Sarah then worked as a Research Assistant at Arbor Vita Corporation from 2002 to 2004. Sarah then returned to school and obtained a Graduate Student position at Harvard University from 2004 to 2011. During this time, they also held a Junior Editor position at American Journal Experts from 2011 to 2012, a Teaching Assistant position at Harvard University Extension School from 2013 to 2014, and a Research Fellow position at Harvard Medical School from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they became a Scientist at Pathogenica, Inc. and a Consultant at Harmonic Lab Solutions. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a Sr. Scientist II at Navitor Pharmaceuticals, where they developed cell-based and biochemical assays to interrogate small molecule modulators of the mTORC1 pathway and managed projects at CROs. Sarah is currently an Associate Director of Discovery Biology at Arrakis Therapeutics.
Sarah Mahoney completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Caltech in 2002. Sarah then went on to pursue their PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from Harvard University, which they completed in 2011.
