Dongping Lu is a seasoned Project Manager and Team Leader at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since April 2013, overseeing the Battery Materials Research Team, which consists of approximately 12 staff members. Prior to this, Lu served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Penn State University, where research centered on high-energy density magnesium batteries and advanced anode and cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Earlier experience includes engineering roles at CHUNLAN Corporation in China, where Lu contributed to the development of high-power prismatic nickel-metal hydride batteries for electric vehicles. Lu holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (electrochemistry) from Xiamen University.
