Aleksey Golovinskiy is a highly experienced scientist and engineer with a strong background in 3D reconstruction and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Scientist at Array Labs since November 2024, Aleksey focuses on 3D reconstruction from satellite imagery. Prior to this role, Aleksey was a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Irreverent Labs, working on video generation models from June 2023 to October 2024. Aleksey's extensive experience at Google from September 2009 to January 2023 included contributions to 3D reconstruction, meshing, and texturing pipelines for various Google Geo products, holding roles such as individual contributor, team lead, and technical lead. Aleksey earned a PhD and an MA in Computer Science from Princeton University and a BA in Mathematics and Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
