George Abd is an experienced executive in the packaging industry, with a history of successful leadership in both public and private companies. George currently serves as Operating Partner at Arsenal Capital Partners, a private equity firm specializing in investments in lower middle market specialty industrials and healthcare companies. Prior to their current role, George served as CEO and President of Spartech LLC, a leading provider of plastic sheet, roll stock, and specialty packaging products. George also served on the board of Anchor Packaging, one of the largest suppliers of rigid plastic packaging products in North America.
George’s career in the packaging industry began at Pretium Packaging, where they served as CEO and President for more than 8 years. During their tenure, George led the company’s growth from $160 million in revenue to $300 million, while tripling EBITDA. Under George’s leadership, Pretium completed three acquisitions and consolidated 5 manufacturing locations. George also successfully sold the company to two different Private Equity Owners in 2010 and 2014 respectively.
George has also served on the Advisory Board of Chemline for 9 years. In this role, they provide strategic guidance to the company on a variety of issues, including operations, marketing, and business development.

George Abd attended the University of Notre Dame for both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. George earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1985 and a Master of Business Administration in 1987.
