James Rothman

Senior Advisor at Arsenal Capital Partners

Dr. Rothman is the Chair of Arsenal’s Healthcare Advisory Board. He also serves as the Wallace Professor of the Biomedical Sciences and Chair of the Department of Cell Biology at Yale University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty at Yale in 2008, he served as Chief Scientist of General Electric Healthcare and its predecessor, Amersham. Dr. Rothman also served as an advisor to top research management at Genentech, Merck & Co., GlaxoSmithKline, and Eli Lilly. He previously has been a professor at Stanford, Princeton, and Columbia universities and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as Vice-Chairman of the Sloan-Kettering Institute. Dr. Rothman was the recipient of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and the 2002 Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award.
