Rona Harari-Steinfeld

Rona Harari-Steinfeld has diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and academia. Rona is currently working as a Principal Scientist at ArsenalBio, where they lead the logic gate screening and characterization group and manages a team of 5 Scientists and RAs. Their responsibilities include screening and selecting the best modules for Arsenal's cell therapy products.

Prior to their current role, Rona worked at Refuge Biotechnologies as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist. At Refuge Biotechnologies, they led the analytical assay development team and was responsible for developing and optimizing assays for the characterization of next-generation CAR-T cell products. Rona also designed and performed mechanism of action studies for CAR-T cell therapies.

Rona's earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Tel Aviv University, where they participated in published academic research on genetic interactions in cell cycle signaling. Rona also served as a Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University, where they instructed undergraduate students in a practical laboratory course in cell biology.

In addition to their work in the biotechnology industry, Rona has academic experience as a Ph.D. candidate in Cancer research and molecular biology at Hebrew University of Jerusalem - Hadassah. Rona has also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center and Tel Aviv University, where they developed course content and taught immunology to nursing students.

Rona's early career includes roles at Aringo MBA Admissions Consulting, where they worked as a Client Coordinator, and at Seeds of Peace, where they served as a Program Coordinator and Camp Counselor.

Overall, Rona Harari-Steinfeld has a strong background in biotechnology research, assay development, teaching, and leadership roles in the industry.

Rona Harari-Steinfeld completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Science at Tel Aviv University from 2001 to 2004. Rona then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology with a specialization in Virology from Tel Aviv University from 2006 to 2009. Following that, they went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Science at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2009 to 2016.
