Sarah Lensch has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and science. Sarah is currently working as a Synthetic Biology Scientist at ArsenalBio since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Bioengineering Ph.D. Student at Stanford University from 2016 to 2022, where they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2018 to 2019. Sarah worked as a Molecular Biology Intern at Pendulum Therapeutics in 2021. In 2015, they interned as a Protein Sciences Intern at Apeel Sciences and briefly worked as a Resident Assistant at the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships. Sarah gained research experience as a Research Intern at University of Lausanne in 2014 and as an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Santa Barbara from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they co-founded and participated in the iGEM Competition as part of the UCSB iGEM Team in 2013. Sarah also interned at the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships in 2012.
Sarah Lensch completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology at UC Santa Barbara, specifically in the College of Creative Studies, from 2012 to 2016. Sarah then pursued further education at Stanford University, where they obtained a Master's degree (M.S.) in Bioengineering from 2016 to 2018. Following their master's degree, they continued their academic journey at Stanford University and achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering from 2016 to 2022.
