Amanda Smith possesses extensive experience in education leadership, particularly within museum and cultural institutions. As the Director of Education at the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood from September 2019 to May 2024, Amanda oversaw nine educational programs and secured a significant grant to fund scholarships and programming. Previous roles include Education Program Coordinator at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and various positions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and Brooklyn Children's Museum, where Amanda managed program development and supported school partnerships. The mission of the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood is to cultivate creativity and the support of the arts in our community through education, innovation, and collaboration. The Center promotes excellence in the visual and performing arts via contemporary gallery exhibitions, stage performances, documentary films, artist talks, and educational programs that reflect the highest standards of artistry and diversity. The Center was founded in 1975 and is the third oldest arts non-profit in Broward County.
