Lucy Bird

Lucy Bird is a seasoned policy and research professional with extensive experience in the arts sector. Currently serving as the Policy and Research Lead at Art Fund since August 2022, Lucy previously held the position of Policy Manager. Lucy's academic contributions as a Visiting Lecturer spanned several universities from March 2018 to December 2023. Experience at Arts Council England included developing cultural policies and assessing funding applications as a Policy Officer. Lucy participated in the Local Government Association's NGDP Leadership & Management Scheme and served as Co-president of the Royal College of Art Students' Union, advocating for over 2,000 students. Early career roles included workshop facilitation and public engagement at various arts organizations. Lucy holds a Master of Arts in Fine Art Sculpture from the Royal College of Art and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art Sculpture from the University of Brighton.
