Annelise Madsen currently serves as the Gilda and Henry Buchbinder Curator for the Arts of the Americas at the Art Institute of Chicago, a position held since September 2011, after progressing through various roles within the institution. Previous experience includes curatorial positions at the Terra Foundation for American Art and a role as Website Content Manager at the Newberry Library. Annelise's academic background includes a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Art History from Stanford University, along with a summa cum laude B.A. in Art History and French from Washington University in St. Louis.
