Sofie Benson

Sofie Benson is an experienced art educator and program director with a strong background in K-12 education. Currently serving as Program Director and previously as Program Coordinator at Art with a Heart since April 2021, Sofie ensures the efficient operation of core programming while also teaching visual art practices to students in Baltimore. Sofie's previous experience includes a K-12 Education Internship at the Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore College, where art lessons were created and taught via Zoom, and a role as Art Camp Educator at The Walters Art Museum, focused on art projects inspired by museum collections. Additional experience includes teaching tennis to children at Hunt Valley Golf Club and serving as an administrative assistant at The Maryland Pediatric Group. Sofie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Skidmore College, completed in 2022, and a High School Diploma from Hereford High School, obtained in 2018.
