Kate Bedient

Kate Bedient serves as the Director of Urban Programs at IslandWood since October 2007, where responsibilities include overseeing various programs at the Brightwater Center, managing a team of educators, developing curriculum, and collaborating with marketing and development teams while overseeing budget management. Additionally, Kate holds the position of Homewaters Program Coordinator at Art with Heart since March 2017 and has previously served as a Board Member for the North Cascades Institute and a Mountain School Coordinator at the Pacific Science Center. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Environmental Education and Non-Profit Management from Western Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Vassar College.
