Mike Zhu

Managing Director, China at Artefact

Mike Zhu is the current Managing Director of Artefact China. Mike has over 12 years of experience in digital marketing and analytics.

Mike started their career as a Strategy Analyst at CarMax, where they were responsible for marketing and consumer insights. Mike then moved to PHD Media as an Associate Digital Director. At PHD, Mike led the development of a data platform for Unilever and pioneered the multi-screen planning process to integrate OTV into traditional TV. Mike also led the overall search engine marketing efforts.

In 2012, Mike became the Head of Analytics at POSSIBLE China, where they helped the company become one of the leading ecommerce agencies in China. In 2015, Mike joined Ogilvy & Mather as the VP of Strategy, eCommerce & Analytics. At Ogilvy, Mike led the development of data-driven marketing services and built the data analytics and digital commerce capabilities.

Mike has a proven track record in helping companies harness the power of data to drive growth. Their experience in building data-driven marketing and ecommerce platforms will be invaluable in their new role as Managing Director of Artefact China.

Mike Zhu has a B.A in Economics & Mathematics from the University of Virginia.

They are on a team with Xavier Mussard - Partner, APAC, Pascal Duriez - Chairman, Asia. Mike Zhu reports to Edouard De Mézerac, Managing Partner, APAC.
