Heather MacKen

Heather Macken is an experienced R&D scientist currently holding the position of R&D Scientist II at Artel by Advanced Instruments since June 2018, having previously served as R&D Scientist I and Research and Development Intern within the same company. Additionally, Heather has been a Projectionist/Supervisor at Southworth Planetarium since March 2014. Previous roles include Supervisor at Starbucks from March 2016 to October 2019, Server at Bua Thai Restaurant from June 2014 to January 2019, and Crew Member at Tim Hortons from January 2014 to May 2015. Heather is pursuing a Master of Science in Forensic DNA and Serology at the University of Florida, expected to graduate in April 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Geoscience from the University of Southern Maine, obtained in 2019. Education was completed with a High School Diploma in General Studies from Old Orchard Beach High School in 2012.
