Ashton Cooper is a curator, writer, and art historian based in Los Angeles, currently serving as a Curatorial Fellow at the Hammer Museum since October 2022. With a focus on the history of painting and sculpture, Ashton has been engaged in freelance work as a curator and writer since November 2014. Ashton holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History from the University of Southern California, earned between 2018 and 2023, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Barnard College, completed in 2013.
