Nick Turkas has a range of experiences working in various roles at the Arthritis Foundation. Nick started their career as the Local Director of Programs and Services in 1999 and later became the Regional Senior Vice President of Health and Wellness from 2010 to 2014. Nick then served as the Director of Help and Support from 2014 to 2020, overseeing the development of personalized resources for people with arthritis. After that, they became the Director of External Affairs before taking on their current role as the Senior Director of Patient Education and Community Connections, where they are responsible for developing and executing health promotion strategies for the organization. Nick also had a brief role as a Health Promotion Consultant at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2007.
Nick Turkas earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Capital University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Nick continued their education at Franklin University, where they obtained a Master's of Science degree in Human Services Management from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in February 2022.
