Omer Qayyum Malik has been in the software industry since 2005. Starting with an internship at Noon Pakistan Limited, where they worked on a project for ensuring the smooth transition from the company legacy system to newer accounts and decision support systems. Omer Qayyum'sresponsibilities included preparing and delivering presentations, software testing and recommending technical changes. In 2012, they moved to Transition Bespoke Development as a Software Engineer, where they worked on a project for adding new functionalities into the Incident Management system. Omer Qayyum employed C#, JavaScript and SQL server to refine the incident control and tracking relevant information quickly. In 2013, they joined AutoSoft Dynamics (Pvt.) Limited as an Associate Project Manager, where they spearheaded the design and development of a new Mobile Banking Application. Omer Qayyum researched prevalent development environments and zeroed on Xamarin Forms and token based Rest APIs as backend. Omer Qayyum built a prototype that showcased different functionalities and was presented with Employee of the Month award for their efforts. Currently, they are working at Articheck as a Development Lead, where their responsibility includes timelines to new requirements and conversions, requirement gathering, development, updating and assigning tickets and provide support to customer success teams for client queries resolution. Omer Qayyum is also working on the conversion of legacy python/Django systems to serverless cloud computing service hosted on the Microsoft Azure using latest microservices methodologies and implementation in C#.

Omer Qayyum Malik completed a Master of Science in Advanced Computer Science & IT Management from The University of Manchester between 2009 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences between 2003 and 2007.
