Sumanth Shanbhag

Sumanth Shanbhag is an experienced engineering leader specializing in data platforms, currently heading the Data Platform at Articul8 AI since April 2025. Prior to this role, Sumanth served as an Engineering Leader for the Data Platform at Benchling and Twitter, further enhancing expertise in managing data-driven projects. Sumanth's career began as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard and the Los Angeles Times, progressing through various roles including Data Engineer at Tribune Company and Senior Engineer at TrueCar, Inc. Notably, Sumanth served as Data Architect/Sr. Engineering Manager at Zoosk Inc., where Sumanth played a pivotal role in driving the business intelligence and data platform vision for over 45 million members. Sumanth holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
