Leah De Laney

Leah De Laney has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2011, they began their career as a Professional Guide at Noah's Ark Whitewater Rafting & Adventure Co., where they guided whitewater rafting, backpacking, and rock climbing expeditions. Leah advanced to the role of Trip Leader, assisting in planning outdoor experiences aligned with customer goals. Leah also served as the Assistant Adventure Program Director, training outdoor guides and scheduling their activities.

In 2012, Leah worked as a Manager at How Art Thou Cafe & Wine Bar, followed by a role as a Climbing Wall & High Ropes Facilitator at Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission in 2011.

From 2013 to 2015, Leah was a Floor Manager at The Trailhead. Leah then became part of the team at Crossfit Buena Vista in 2014, where they served as a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer. Leah later took on the additional responsibilities of Head Coach & General Manager.

Leah joined CrossFit Alkaline in 2017 as a CrossFit Level II Coach and also worked briefly at Clear Water Outdoor, LLC as a Team Member.

In 2018, they worked at Buena Vista Roastery as a Sales Manager and Coffee Roaster. Leah then transitioned to Crump Greenhouse in 2019 as a Succulent/Cacti Greenhouse Sales Manager.

Most recently, Leah joined Artifact Uprising® in 2021 as a Design Services Designer.

Leah De Laney completed their education at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Creative Writing & Intercultural Studies. In addition, they participated in the Adirondack Wilderness Semester at Houghton University, although the duration and completion of this program are unknown. Leah also holds a certification as a Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), which they obtained in April 2014. Furthermore, they have a Wilderness First Responder certification, without further information on the institution or the date of completion.
