Helena Rastas started their work experience in 2007 as a Client Manager at SDI Media Scandinavia AB. Helena then worked as a Computational Linguist at the same company, where they developed software applications and programmed in Perl, CGI, and XML.
In 2008, Helena joined Karbykon AB as a Bookkeeper and stayed there until 2012.
In 2009, Helena worked as a Linguist at Acapela Group, where they transcribed Catalan geographical words for a text-to-speech system. Helena also worked as a Linguist at Acapela Group in 2010, and as a Computational Linguist at Uppdragshuset in 2009-2010.
Since 2011, Helena has been working at Artificial Solutions as a Knowledge Engineer, where they validate customer requirements and designs, builds, maintains, and develops knowledge-based systems.
Throughout their career, Helena has gained experience in linguistics, bookkeeping, computational linguistics, and software development.
Helena Rastas began their education in 1996 at Mälardalen University, where they studied English for one year. Helena then moved on to Universidad de Alcalá in 1997 to pursue Spanish studies for a year. In 1998, they continued their Spanish studies at Mälardalen University for one more year. From 1998 to 1999, Helena did not pursue any formal degree but continued studying Spanish at Mälardalen University. Lastly, from 2001 to 2007, they attended Stockholm University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, and Cognitive Science.
