Suraj Menon has extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics and omics sciences. Suraj is currently serving as the Director of Bioinformatics and Omics Sciences at Artios since July 2022. Previously, Suraj held the position of Senior Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics at Artios from January 2022 to July 2022, and before that, they were a Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics from September 2018 to December 2021.
Prior to joining Artios, Suraj worked at AstraZeneca as an Informatics Analyst (Associate Principal Informatician) in the R&D Informatics department from January 2016 to August 2018. Suraj also gained experience at the University of Cambridge, CRUK Cambridge Institute as a Senior Bioinformatics Analyst from December 2011 to November 2015, and at Cancer Research UK as a Computational Biology Analyst from December 2009 to December 2011.
Suraj's early career includes a role as a Bioinformatician at the University of Glasgow, Wellcome Centre for Molecular Parasitology in 2005.
Suraj Menon obtained an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology in the year 2023. Prior to that, they pursued their PhD in Microarray bioinformatics from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, which they completed between 2005 and 2009. In 2003-2004, Suraj earned an M.Res degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Glasgow. Additionally, they obtained the Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management (8600-11) certification from ILM in January 2016.
