Wim Janssens

Wim Janssens is a seasoned pulmonologist currently serving at UZ Leuven since July 2006, specializing in COPD, functional evaluation, and respiratory rehabilitation. Since January 2008, Janssens has held the position of Professor and Senior Clinical Investigator at KU Leuven, where leadership includes chairing the Department of Chronic Diseases and Metabolism. In addition to these roles, Janssens co-founded ArtiQ in April 2019 and serves as Chairman of the Board for the Vlaamse Vereniging voor Respiratoire Gezondheidszorg en Tuberculosebestrijding since April 2020. A past president of the Belgian Respiratory Society, Janssens has an extensive academic background with degrees including a PhD in Medicine and a specialization in Respiratory Medicine.
