Niraj Mehta

Niraj Mehta, PhD, is currently an Associate and Venture Fellow at ARTIS Ventures, focusing on sourcing deals and performing due diligence on early-stage biotech companies since August 2022. As a PhD candidate at Stanford University in the Sattely Lab, Niraj is engaged in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering, developing tools for sustainable bio-manufacturing of medicines. Additionally, Niraj serves as President of the Stanford Biotechnology Group, fostering connections within the biotech ecosystem. Previous experience includes roles as a summer intern in protein chemistry at Gennova Biopharmaceuticals and undergraduate research positions at UCLA, where Niraj investigated electrochemical systems for CO2 fixation and modeled pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. Niraj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from UCLA and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry at Stanford University.
