Director, Preclinical Research at Artivion

Deepal Stevenson, M.S. has worked in various roles related to preclinical research and biomedical engineering. Deepal is currently the Director of Preclinical Research at Artivion, Inc. since December 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Associate Director of Preclinical Research at the same company from November 2020 to January 2022. From 2016 to 2020, Deepal worked as the Program Director at Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI), where they managed preclinical projects, strategic planning, budgeting, and business development activities. Deepal also held the position of Research Faculty at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2020. Before that, they worked at T3 Labs - Translational Testing and Training Laboratories, Inc. as the Program Director from 2014 to 2016, and as the Senior Program Manager and Program Manager in the field of preclinical research from 2009 to 2015. Deepal started their career as a Biomedical Engineer at TissueGen Inc in 2004.

Deepal Stevenson, M.S. has a strong educational background in organizational leadership and biomedical engineering. Deepal obtained their Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2002.

In 2015, Deepal participated in the Emerging Leader Program at Emory Healthcare, where they focused on organizational leadership. Deepal further expanded their knowledge in this field by completing the Leadership Forward Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2020.

Deepal's education also includes a certificate in Regulatory Affairs- Medical Devices from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society, which they obtained between 2014 and 2015.

Additionally, they have obtained the ISO 10993 Series e-Learning certification from NAMSA in July 2023.
