Walter S. Freitag

Walter S. Freitag has a diverse work experience background. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Summer Associate at Ballard Spahr LLP and later at Eversheds Sutherland. In 2014, they continued their education at Georgia State University College of Law while working as a Graduate Research Assistant for both Professor Yaniv Heled and the IP Advisory Board. During this time, they also had another Summer Associate position at Ballard Spahr LLP.

From 2015 to 2018, Walter worked as an Intellectual Property Attorney at Eversheds Sutherland before moving to Baker & Hostetler LLP in 2018 for the same role. In 2019, they joined Artivion, Inc. as an Assistant General Counsel and later became the Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Artivion, Inc., where they are responsible for providing legal, compliance, and business strategy to the company's leadership, board, and global partners. Prior to their legal career, they also worked as a Medical Device Engineering Consultant at WSF Consulting from 2012 to 2015.

Walter S. Freitag has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Walter S. also holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree, which they earned with Summa Cum Laude honors and is a member of the Order of the Coif, from Georgia State University College of Law.
