Alex Deweert has five years of professional work experience. In 2017, they began working as a Web Developer at Natural Resources Canada | Ressources naturelles Canada. In 2018, they became a Mobile Application Developer at Ergonomyx Technologies Canada Inc., where they worked closely with an Engineering manager to develop a cross-platform mobile application. In 2019, they were a Full Stack Web Developer at Black Press Media, where they used Python, Django, and RabbitMQ on the backend servers, and VueJs, SCSS, JavaScript, and HTML5 to implement frontend features. In 2021, they were a Frontend Engineer at Epic for Kids, where they implemented A/B tests, analytics, new features, and landing pages, and helped to drive a 50% increase in account creations and paid subscriptions. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Art+Logic, where they worked remotely in close collaboration with product managers to facilitate development in iOS Swift and Android Kotlin to meet client expectations for new features and maintenance tasks.

Alex Deweert completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Victoria in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Certification in Applied Software Development from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2014.
