Katelyn Shehu (she/her) joined Arts Midwest in 2023 as the Chief Financial Officer. Previously, she held the position of Associate Vice President of Finance & Controller at the University of St. Thomas. Two of her most important accomplishments during her 11 years at St. Thomas were securing millions in federal relief funding for the University and its students during the pandemic and leading the issuance of the largest public debt issuance in the history of St. Thomas to assist the organization with financing its five-year strategic plan, St. Thomas 2025. She obtained her CPA license in 2009 and, prior to her role at St. Thomas, she worked in public accounting at RSM (formerly McGladrey & Pullen) as well as did SEC reporting as a senior analyst for Datalink Corporation.

At Arts Midwest, Katelyn develops and oversees its financial systems and strategies, with a focus on short- and long-term financial stability. She is passionate in her belief that everyone in an organization can play an important role in ensuring financial success and sustainability of resources through education and collaboration.

Katelyn is excited to assist the organization and board in the areas of financial management, compliance and best practices. She will help the organization focus on ensuring adequate resources are available to achieve the Arts Midwest mission while also looking for future growth opportunities.
