Arts on the Block
June Linowitz is a seasoned professional in the art industry with extensive experience in various roles since 1970. Currently serving as a board member for Arts on the Block since 2008, June has also been a curator and exhibition designer on a freelance basis since 2005. June founded and owns ArtSeen Inc., representing over 300 fine artists and facilitating corporate art collections. Prior to this, June curated at Studio Gallery from 1990 to 2011 and worked as a policy specialist for the National Urban Coalition from 1970 to 1973. June holds a B.A. in Art and Psychology from Chatham University and graduated with a focus on art from high school.

Arts on the Block offers creative youth the opportunity to learn about the intersection of art, design and business by engaging them in real-world art projects. Today, hundreds of individual artworks — from park benches to large-scale murals — grace public and private spaces throughout the area. These commissions transform neighborhoods, communities and youth in their pursuit of creativity and collaboration.
