MaryJo Rosania-Harvie, MFA, EdD has a diverse work experience in the field of art and education. MaryJo is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Practice in Art Education at Moravian University since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Interim Professor of Practice in Art & Art Education at the same university from July 2022 to December 2022.

In addition to their teaching roles, MaryJo has also been actively involved in various artistic and educational organizations. MaryJo worked as a Rostered Resident Teaching Artist at the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts starting from December 2022. MaryJo also served as an Adjunct Professor of Education at Muhlenberg College starting from July 2022. Furthermore, they worked as a Teaching Artist at ArtsQuest from June 2022.

Before transitioning into academia, MaryJo had a successful career as a freelance artist and designer, which they pursued since September 1995. Additionally, they have undertaken roles as a Creative Education Consultant, Art Educator at Edmentum, Art Instructor at Northshore Education Exchange, and Director of Content at WhizkidMe, all starting from November 2021 and ending in July 2022.

MaryJo's experience also includes serving as the Chief of Artistic Programs and Events/Co-Principal at The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts from July 2020 to November 2021.

MaryJo Rosania-Harvie, MFA, EdD has an extensive education history that spans various disciplines and fields of study. Their education journey began in 1992 when they attended Seton Hall University, majoring in Undecided Liberal Arts, but they later transferred to Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where they earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Sculpture in 1998.

In 1997, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie also briefly studied Fine Art at Cheltenham & Gloucestershire College of Higher Education. MaryJo further pursued their education at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Post Bacc Certification in Art Teacher Education from 1999 to 2001.

Continuing their passion for art and visual culture, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie attended Union Institute & University from 2003 to 2005 and earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in interdisciplinary art and visual culture.

Expanding their expertise beyond art, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie attended Centenary University from 2006 to 2007 and achieved an Educational Administration degree with a focus on Supervision. MaryJo also took Fashion Design courses at Bucks County Community College Online in 2007-2008 to enhance their skills in Advanced Adobe Photoshop.

In 2013, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie embarked on a new phase of their education by attending Rowan University, where they obtained a New Jersey Principal Certification in Educational Administration and Supervision from 2013 to 2016.

Recently, from 2019 to 2022, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie pursued their highest level of education by earning a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Transformational Teaching and Learning from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

Alongside their academic achievements, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie has also obtained additional certifications. MaryJo obtained a PK-4 elementary education certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in August 2022 and Principal certifications from both the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the New Jersey Department of Education in September 2016. Furthermore, MaryJo Rosania-Harvie holds K-12 Art Education certifications from both the NJ and PA Departments of Education.

MaryJo Rosania-Harvie has demonstrated a commitment to furthering their knowledge and expertise through their education journey, constantly expanding their skills in various disciplines and educational fields.
