ArtsWestchester
Matilde Steck is a graphic designer at Binghamton University, where responsibilities include supporting the Environmental Change club. Matilde has also completed two semesters as a Scientific Researcher in the First Year Research Immersion program. In addition to this, contributions as a Teaching Assistant at ArtsWestchester involve promoting environmental awareness among Westchester youth through nonprofit initiatives. Previous experience includes catering at Sodexo and participating in the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program, which focused on career planning and community service. Matilde's background includes serving food at Racquet Club on Park Hill Inc. and engaging with youth through the Advisory Council at ArtsWestchester. Education encompasses pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Writing and Publishing at Emerson College, with prior studies at Binghamton University, Yonkers High School (International Baccalaureate), Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Sarah Lawrence College.
ArtsWestchester
Established in 1965 as the Council for the Arts in Westchester, we are New York State’s largest private, not-for-profit service organization, working to ensure the availability and accessibility of the arts for all of the county’s residents. In 1975, we were named by Westchester County government as the County’s designated arts council and we became one of several united arts funds in the country, providing grants and technical support to cultural organizations and artist residencies in the community.
