Sarah Gottesman

Associate Director, Marketing at Artsy

Sarah Gottesman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sarah began their career as a Museum Educator at the Museum of the City of New York in 2014. Sarah then worked as a Teaching Corps Intern at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2015. In the same year, they also served as a Performance Facilitator for Generator by Marina Abramovic at Sean Kelly Gallery and as a Research Assistant at Marina Abramovic Institute.

Sarah joined Artsy in 2015 and has held various roles since then. Sarah started as the Coordinator of The Art Genome Project from November 2015 to January 2017. Sarah then became a Collector Relations Associate from January 2017 to June 2018, followed by a promotion to Collector Relations Manager from June 2018 to October 2019. Sarah further advanced as a Senior Manager, Curation and Collector Engagement from October 2019 to May 2020 and briefly as a Senior Integrated Marketing Manager from May 2020 to June 2020. Later, they assumed the position of an Integrated Marketing Lead from June 2020 to February 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director, Marketing since January 2022.

During their time at Williams College, they served as a Teacher's Assistant, Art History 102 from January 2014 to June 2014, an Art Department 1960's Scholar from September 2013 to June 2014, and as an Experiential Education Intern from June 2012 to August 2012.

Sarah also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at New York University, lab of Dr. Elizabeth Phelps, from June 2013 to August 2013, and as a Research Assistant at Williams College Museum of Art from September 2012 to December 2012.
