Ana Luisa Maldonado, PhD FRAes, serves as a Senior Acoustic Consultant and Global Aviation Skills Research Manager at Arup since September 2016. Previously, Ana completed a PhD at the University of Southampton, focusing on the prediction of interstage liner effects in turbofan engines, with strong collaboration from NASA Glenn Research Centre. The research has honed skills in written communication through monthly technical reports, complex problem solving, and effective oral presentations for diverse audiences. Earlier experience includes research consultancy at the Computational Aeroacoustics Laboratory, internships in mechanical and supply chain engineering at Engevix Engenharia S.A., AmBev, and FIAT, and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Sciences alongside a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de Brasília.
