Matthew Skuse

Matthew Skuse is an experienced director at Arup, serving as the UKIMEA Commercial Leader and Americas Commercial Director since October 1994. Responsibilities include monitoring project performance, guiding high-risk pursuits, and mentoring regional management teams. Matthew has spearheaded significant initiatives, such as the revamping of bidding procedures and the implementation of a strategic plan focused on quality work and excellence. As Managing Director for operations in Poland and Serbia, success in achieving a turnaround in profitability and enhancing visibility for business services was notable. Selected project appointments include key roles in major infrastructure projects such as the Northern California megaregion passenger rail system and the Warsaw Metro Line 2. Matthew's education includes a Master’s in Resilience of Urban Systems from MIT Sloan School of Management and additional qualifications from Boston University and Imperial College Business School.
