Miguel Ángel López Quintana

Miguel Ángel López Quintana is the Global Head of HSE at Arup since May 2022, focusing on standardizing and digitalizing HSEQ management systems while defining and rolling out global HSEQ policies. Prior to this role, Miguel served as the Global HSE Manager at SGS from January 2019 to May 2022, where digitalization of the HSE management system and enhancement of workflow governance were key achievements. Earlier experience includes roles as Global HSE Engineer at SGS, HSE Representative and HSE Engineer at Tecnicas Reunidas, and HSE Engineer at Repsol. Miguel also has an educational background that includes a BSc in Mining Engineering and an MSc in Energy and Fuels from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, complemented by an MSc in Occupational Health & Safety from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and an MBA in Project Management from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
