Paul Coughlan

Paul Coughlan has been Group COO and Chair of the Management Board since April 2019. A chartered civil engineer who joined Arup in 1997, his career has encompassed projects in the highways, rail and aviation sectors. Prior to his current appointment, Paul was a Director in Ireland and a Group Leader in the Netherlands. He was appointed Europe Region Chair in 2014 and TAP Council Chair in 2018. Paul is a member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
