Piet Jones, PhD

Piet Jones, PhD, is a Research Scientist at Arva Intelligence with a background in computational biology. Prior to this role, Piet worked as a PHD Candidate at the University of Tennessee, focusing on bio-fuel and human health research using AI and probabilistic programming. Piet also has experience as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Kapa Biosystems and as a Consultant at Blue Cube Systems. Piet started their academic journey at Stellenbosch University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Mathematical Sciences before going on to complete a BScHon, MSc, and ultimately received a PhD in Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
