Arvada Fire
Erik Lugenbill, MA, EFO, CFO has extensive experience in the fire and emergency services field. Erik currently serves as the Division Chief of Planning and Support Services at Arvada Fire. Prior to this, they held the same position at Fairmount Fire Protection District, where they also served as Division Chief of Operations, Division Chief of Training and EMS, and Battalion Chief. Erik also has experience as a firefighter paramedic at Elizabeth Fire Protection District. Outside of the fire service, they owned and instructed at EWL Services, LLC, and served as a board member at the Multi-Jurisdictional Training Consortium. Earlier in their career, Erik worked as a lieutenant and district training officer at Franktown Fire Protection District, a sales engineer at Barry Sales Engineering, Inc, and a manufacturing engineer at COBE Cardiovascular. Erik began their professional journey serving as a marine in the United States Marine Corps.

- SDA Leadership Fellow from the Special District Association Leadership Academy, completed in 2017.
- Financial Management Executive Education from the University of Denver, obtained in 2022.
- Executive Certificate in Public Policy (in progress) from Harvard Kennedy School, started in 2022.
- Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) from the Wilderness Medical Society, obtained in 2020.
