Ignacio J. Juncadella

Ignacio J. Juncadella is a seasoned professional in the fields of immunology and drug discovery, currently serving as Senior Director of Immunology and IO Discovery Research at Arvinas since November 2022. Previously, Ignacio held various positions at Boehringer Ingelheim, including Senior Associate Director focusing on immunology and respiratory research, and contributed significantly to target identification and validation for inflammatory diseases. At The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, Ignacio was a Principal Scientist responsible for leading biology projects in early development. Ignacio's career also includes extensive research roles, beginning as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Virginia and earlier as a Ph.D. student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where research focused on immunomodulatory mechanisms in allergy and inflammation. Ignacio earned a Ph.D. in Animal Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
